A spring refresh
In my closet, on my bathroom counter and a few notable splurges
Nothing gets me in a new season mood quite like refreshing my space, my closet and my bathroom counter. Lately, I feel like I’ve found some really good finds in all areas.
In my closet.
Even though we’re moving into a warmer season, I still mostly live in lounge and comfort wear. I’ve been transitioning into lighter loungey-pieces starting with a few new good finds from a forever favourite, Desmond and Dempsey (I wore one of their classic robes the morning of my wedding three years ago and still reach for it constantly). I have almost their entire white leopard collection, so I had to add this nightie that can double as a fun dress for summer along with the matching eye mask (the silk is also lovely) for when I want to feel a little extra when going to sleep. I also ordered this butter yellow for spring. They just came out with their spring collection, and I think this nightie may need to make it into my collection next. They also do free monnogramming, so you can personalize almost all their loungewear (which is a major bonus for me).

I’ve also fallen victim to all things Pointelle and Leset. I caved and ordered the Boxer Pant and have been living in them since. I also have the long sleeve on its way to me to complete the set. Another recent find is the pointelle PJ set from the Gap (also at a fraction of the price). The top and bottoms are en route. It was also time for a restock of the best tanks, and the HomeStretch Rib Spectrum Cami’s from Aritzia always do it for me. Needless to say, I’m very happy with how my spring lounge collection is coming together.
On my bathroom counter
Something about spring also makes me want to refresh my beauty routine. I took advantage of the Revolve sale to try out some new products and am so far pleasantly surprised with everything I received. I love everything I’ve tried from Make Beauty, and their concealer was next on my list. It has a light finish and blends beautifully into the skin. An honourable mention goes to their brow gel which is a staple in my makeup bag (I get the clear and it lasts all day). I’m not much of a highlighter girl (other than the Westman Atelier), but the Ethereal Glow Balm by Ortega intrigued me. It’s more pigmented than I typically go for, but so far I’m enjoying it for an extra flush of colour on these still grey days.

For skincare and body, I picked up the stick version of my favourite Corpus deoderant. I’m partial to the California scent but also have the Third Rose in spray format and love it as well. I’ve had my eye on Facile skincare for a while as well and added their lightweight moisturizer and lip jelly to my basket. So far, so good (though I’m not carzy about the scent of the moisturizer. Extra points for being light and fast absorbing though). Honourable mention to this lip elixer I added to get free shipping (we all do it). Not my favourite lip product, but not my least. My next purchase will likepy be the Plumscreen from Le Prunier (but I’m really trying to empty one product before I purchase another).
Seasonal Splurges + Things in my Closet I’m Excited to Wear
If you know me, you know that I’m a sucker for the SSENSE sale, however recently, I think I’ve done some of my best work. I have a few milestone occasions coming up and decided to treat myself to
my first pair of Manolos. I went with the Moiramu Mules in a really light pink and have truly never been so excited for a package to come in the mail. A few months ago, I also added the Khaite Marcy flats to my shoe wardrobe and am so ready for this weather to fully turn so I can break them out.

You would think that I’d stop there, but like I said, the SSENSE sale just has a stronghold on me. I’ve been looking for a good, everyday black bag and found a winner in the Toteme Scooped Sling Fawn Bag. This is my first bag from Toteme and I am equally, if not more, excited to receive this. It reminds me of the Banana Bag by The Row, but at a much more stomachable price. It also comes in suede, but to me, the black was a bit more wearable.

Now for a few fun things I’ve had my eye on (as my credit card is on lockdown until further notice).
Heeled Thong Sandals
Notably, these from Gianvito Rossi in brown (though the white is also cute for spring). The Raye Perla Kitten heels are also on my list along with these suede sandals from Toteme for when it’s safe to wear suede out of the house again.

A Jacket that isn’t ameant for -40
All I want now is a lighter jacket. Any jacket, really, that isn’t my Canada Goose. I’ve had my eye on the coats in the SRG collection, notably the Hudson Coat and the Octavia Coat (I’m partial to the Octavia). I love all coats from Anine Bing, particularly the Randy Classic Trench I picked up a few months ago. It leans more pink than a traditional trench and is the perfect amount of oversized.

The last on my list that I’ll be putting my shopping budget towards will be a Row Park tote. TBD on colour, though I do love the Ivory (however, the dark taupe does feel a little more like me). The older I get, the more I find myself moving towards more classic colours and styles… and the more I use my future daughter as an excuse to shop. It’s for her future wardobe after all!
Leave me a comment and let me know what I missed for spring/what you’re most excitde to wear and use now that the winter season is almost behind us.
